Nick, a Master Certified ASE Technician, left his job as the manager of a giant retail service center to move to Texas. He had always had the dream of owning his own shop and the move catapulted him into action. He quickly realized that he needed more space than his home garage, so he rented a small warehouse near the current location. In less than a year, he had outgrown that space and moved into a larger space where he could work on more than one car at a time. The business continues to grow and has now expanded into 3 bays with multiple lifts and more storage for parts.
Nick operated as a one-man show until 2022, spending every waking moment either working on, parting out, selling, or talking about Mini Coopers. He established a customer base, an online presence, and a solid reputation as a Mini Cooper expert. Tina then joined to help with the operation. Soon after, fellow Mini owner and enthusiast, Chris, joined the team as a tech. Then, Julian and Jesse, both already customers, came on board. Julian is a tech and Jesse is our inventory control manager. Everyone who plays a role in our business owns more than one Mini. To say we love what we do is an understatement.
Of course, none of this would be possible without all our great customers who we appreciate beyond measure and consider them all part of the Open Road family.

Engine and transmissions carry a 3 mo/3000 mile warranty unless installed by a professional shop then carry a 6 month/6000 mile warranty(part only) Engine and transmissions MUST be returned by original purchaser in same condition as purchased.
There will be a 25% restocking fee for returned items that were ordered in error. Please check with us to verify you are ordering the correct part if you are not sure.

Please contact us if you have a deadline or critical time requirement for your order. We will do our best to get what you need when you need it. Shipping estimates at checkout are not always accurate or guaranteed. For example "USPS Priority 2 Day" shipping can take 3-6 days in some cases! Shipping transit times start when the order has shipped NOT when it was processed.
In some cases the shipping rate calculated at checkout may not take into account larger than normal box dimensions that cause shipping rates to increase. In this case we will contact you to discuss options.
Our shipping cutoff is at 2 pm. We strive to ship all orders the same day if we can make it. 2nd Day and Next Day orders always get first priority if ordered before 1pm M-Th or 10am on Fridays.
Our business hours are M-Fr 9-5 We do not ship orders when we are closed.
